2027 Nissan Z Horsepower, Engine, Performance Features
The 2027 Nissan Z keeps its classic sports car setup with a front-engine, rear-wheel drive design and a VR30DDTT 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6. In Sport and Performance trims, this engine delivers 400 horsepower at 6,400 rpm and 350 lb-ft of torque from 1,600 to 5,600 rpm, giving drivers strong acceleration and a broad powerband.
For the highest-output version, the 2027 Nissan Z NISMO increases performance to 420 horsepower at 6,400 rpm and 384 lb-ft of torque from 2,000 to 5,200 rpm. Transmission choices include a six-speed close-ratio manual, while Sport and Performance trims also offer a nine-speed automatic. Z NISMO can be equipped with either a six-speed manual or a NISMO-tuned nine-speed automatic.
2027 Nissan Z Horsepower and Engine 🡫
At the heart of the 2027 Nissan Z is a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 engineered with direct injection gasoline fuel delivery, twin turbochargers, aluminum block and head construction, and Nissan’s Continuously Variable Valve Timing Control System. The engine also features an 86.0 x 86.0 mm bore and stroke, a 10.3 compression ratio, and a maximum engine speed of 6,800 rpm.
For 2027, Nissan made updates across the Z lineup to support performance during aggressive driving. Fuel tank revisions are designed to help keep fuel positioned around the fuel pump during sustained high-G cornering, helping maintain consistent fuel delivery on the track or during spirited driving.

2027 Nissan Z Performance Features🡫
The 2027 Nissan Z Performance trim adds equipment that helps sharpen control and confidence behind the wheel. A mechanical clutch-type limited-slip differential, SynchroRev Match on manual models, and larger-diameter monotube shock absorbers all contribute to a more responsive drive. Braking performance is supported by 14.0-inch front vented disc rotors and 13.8-inch rear vented disc rotors.
The Z NISMO takes performance even further with track-focused upgrades. New GT-R-derived two-piece front brake rotors help reduce weight by 19 pounds, while the available six-speed manual transmission includes an upgraded clutch and a shorter shift stroke.
